Looking for a VBA code to hide rows based on a single cell value

Hi all,

New to VBA, but I am looking for a code that will look up the value in cell A1 (which is linked to form controlls) and hide certain rows based on its value. May be able to accomplish the same thing with active X controls but you all can decide as I have never used them.

Essentially I have 4 rows with my "groups" in them and I would like to hide all rows that are not selected in the form control. So it "total" is selected in the control I would like the other 3 rows to be hidded. The example attached should help clear up what I am looking for in the case that I did not explain it well.
