How to copy and paste a sheet to a master workbook

    Hi All

I have spend three days including my weekend to write and rewrite some published coding on how to upload a sheet from a different file to a master file under its own sheet. I know it is simple, but for me it has given me so many late night sleeps. Currently I am working for a charity that is lacking with information system. I am building a dashboard with KPI. However my issues is that I am trying to copy and paste financial information from a formatted workbood to the master dashboard under an upload data sheet and a command button. The command button has been created but when it comes to understand the script, it is a catastrophe. Is there an example in the forum that I can followed

    Many thanks

    Hi Zohra:

Welcome to the Forum. If you can post the code you're are trying to get too work, or better yet attach a sample with some data, I'm sure you'll get a lot of helpful responses.

To attach a file, push the button with the paperclip (or scroll down to the Manage Attachments button), browse to the required file, and then push the Upload button.

Re: How to copy and paste a sheet to a master workbook

I need to be blind. I have attached those two files to get members started. to give you a background, at month end, the financial director produce a workbook that is distributed to the board. There is a sheet called scorecard that need to be copy and past to my dashboard template in order to populate KPI.. This file will populate not only KPI, but also produce individual dashboards to the service directors.

My idea is to bring all information in one place and play with formulae to link automatically to main dashboard (dropdown list) with the current financial period.

I have difficulty to do this first step, (ie copy and paste) one sheet called "scorecard" part of "Copy of 13-7 MA .xls (workbook) direct Y:\Users\ZohraBelabed\Zohra\MA\PD4\Copy of 13-7 MA.xls to "dashboard template" workbook under a sheet name "Scorecarddata.xls".

I was thinking instead of a command to use an input form to show the path directory of the file but was concerned if it was efficient. So after deliberation, I was more keen to a command button to select the scorecard sheet which the cons is that I will need to change the period at each financial month. I have no clue how to do that.

The dashboard template will be the main master file where data will be updated. Furthermore, I will keep an audit trail by period of the financial information enabling service managers to select their period to view under the dashboard

But one think at the time
