Getting value of selected item within a ComboBox ~ Microsoft Word

Hi all, I've looked all over the internet and all I got is results for excel, which I already know how to do.

My question is how can I acquire the value of a selected item within one of three comboboxes i have a word document

I constructed a macro where it basically sends an e-mail to a particular person with an attachment of this very word document...as far as the attachment goes all is well. I send an email successfully with the attachment.

however this document has three comboboxes, for the sake of the explanation i'll keep it simple.

a combobox has a list of names

I want to get the selected item's value so that i'll utilize it within the body of the e-mail.
