Barcode scanning to Excel while excel is in the background.

Hello,

I have a simple motorola barcode scanner that connects to my computer through USB. I want to have that barcode scanner input data into Excel but I will have another program running, so Excel will be in the background or minimized. Is there a way to continue inputting data from the barcode scanner while Excel is in the background or minimized?

This barcode reader is for .net. I think it's not suitable for reading barcodes in Excel!!!
