Hi
I have a script that copies information in to an e-mail from excel adds voting buttons to it in outlook and then sends it to many people that are on many different servers (exchanges) however some can’t see the voting buttons in the e-mail.
I am now stuck as I need the vote 'approve or reject' in the subject response. So I can quickly filter the responses. but i beleive there is no way around this without having to change every recipient IT setup? I have tried sending the e-mail as Rich text and plain text, but the voting buttons still did not appear.
Now I am re thinking the whole process and now plan to set up a sharepoint site that each user can go in and review and edit information
However, the information in each row is only specific to each user.
Therefore, I would like to know it there is a way to hide the information in my spreadsheet (94 rows and 8 columns) and then issue every user with a password that will unlock and unhide only the inforamation that they are aloud to see and edit.
Therefore, a user would open the spreadsheet, input a value (which would relate to a value in column G of my spreadsheet) and a password.
The password would unlock and unhide all rows that have the same value in column G
The user would then be aloud to edit the write in coulum I "Yes" or "No" and save the spreadsheet for the next user to use.
This seem quite a complicated way, but without the voting buttons I can't think of another way to do this.
If anyone could help me, I would be very greatful.
Thanks in advance
Rob
