Insert date/time when macro is run

I have a button which performs a number of actions on some data but I would like to record the date and time everytime the macro is run. What I need to is to insert the current date and time into the first blank cell within a specific column on a sheet called 'Upload'. I have yet to find a script which performs this function for me..

why not just :

This would put it in the first empty cell in column A

Hi JasperD. I am getting a 1004 error when running this. 'Application defined or object-defined error'.
Is this something to do with the range?
