Newbie How to delete macro "Private Sub Worksheet_SelectionChange(ByVal Target As Range)<"

Hello,

I have found a macro in a critical sheet that I am using that contains the following code:

"Private Sub Worksheet_SelectionChange(ByVal Target As Range)<

End Sub"

Try as I might, I cannot get rid of it (but I'm new to VBA - day one). I've googled high and low. I have tried a "macro remover macro", just deleting the code, deleting everything between Private Sub and End...no luck...it just pops back up the next time I open the workbook.

Using Excel 2011 for Mac.

Can anybody help?

I try to delete them, save, delete, save. They just keep coming back. Not sure what else I can do. Maybe someone can take a look at the file...??
