Personal Macrobook suddenly not recording

I have recorded a bunch of macros in my PMB but now I can't record any new ones. I still have access to all my old ones but when i record a new macro and exit out of the document, I don't get the "Do you want to save changes in my Personal Macrobook." I have no clue what the issue is. I've tried to look in Add Ins to see if it was disabled but it wasn't.

Any help would be appreciated. I have a ton of macros I need to record. Thanks.

have you set the IsAddin property to true? do you have any beforeclose code in the PMB?

Hmm, I am not sure what you are referring to. I'm a novice coder. I literally record all my macros and adjust the code slightly if needed.

I'm not sure what's going on. I can open the PMB, hide, unhide, and still have access to all the macros. I just can't record any new ones. There is no error message, whenever I stop recording. I don't get that popup box that says do you want to save changes to your PMB.

I did email my PMB to several people last night, I'm not sure if that has anything to do with it. I've done this before and I've had no issues recording after.

if you edit any of the code in the pmb and close excel, do you get a prompt to save?

Yes, when I make a slight change or unhide/hide I get the message to save. Does it have to do with anything with my macro settings? I'm confused what happened, it was working fine last night. When I first recorded a macro today I did get an error message that said "PMB must be open in start Folder to record" and the PMB was disabled and I couldn't access it in the developer tab. However, I have since enabled it and now I have access to my PMB, I just can't record anything.

what workbooks can you see in the project explorer in the vb editor?

I don't see any, I have no excel worksheets open. When I open a blank sheet I see all my modules. Is this what you mean?

so if you simply start Excel and then look in the vb editor you cannot see the pmb in the list of open projects? if not it sounds as though it is still disabled

No I see them all, access to all my macros are still there. I just can't record anything new. Do you know what might cause this?

I went into properties in the XLStart Menu and the option was clicked hidden and read only. Is this the culprit? I unchecked these boxes and tried to run again and it still didn't work.

Yes I see a bunch of extension files. I see *.xla, *.xlsb, and *.xlam
