Smile Userform To Enter Data In worksheet

    Hi everyone,
i am trying to make a user form to enter data in a worksheet. The userform should be able to enter the description(which can be anything)
, the State(In progress,OFF,Stanby) , the commentary and the priority 1 or 2, the environment(PRD,REC or DEV) as in the example given.Gravity(major,minor)TEST.xlsx

Sorry but i am a newbie in vba and i don't know how to do userform yet. Can anyone make one for me?

    Thanks in advance

You're not very clear here, do you want the user form for data entry or retrieval? Have you even attempted to make a userform or are you just trying to solicit free work? All of us here that help have at one point never made a userform before but we learned instead of having someone do all the work for us. I suggest you watch the following videos and if you have coding problems, ask for help with that.

Hate or love it those are my 2 pennies.

Well, I am not looking for free work if that is what you mean. I have just started learning vba and am really not familiar with the user form objects. Do you want to be paid? I have tried making one but no avail I am not knowledgeable enough to do it correctly and it is for data entry. and i have already watched the video you sent. if you don't want to help. I will look in another forum.

I'm not saying look for another forum, you'll get the help you need here and no I am not looking to get paid. Dang man, not once did I say that. All I'm saying is do some of the work to design the form and we'll help you code it. If you've watched the videos already then you'd be able to create a form.

At the end of the day, whether try to do this is on you and maybe someone here will do it all for you but I know it won't be me. Before you take that out of context, I'll help code but not design, you know your exact requirements for the design not me.

I've passed this on to other members here, maybe someone will be more willing to do this all for you.

    Cheers!

Re: Userform To Enter Data In worksheet

Hello Rajiv. Let me immediately support Mordred's original question to you, absolutely valid. VBA and forms are new to you, that's fine. However it's not rocket science, so we operate here on the presumption that YOU can do it if you actually dive in and try. As such, most of the questions we get here follow a different line.

"I'm building a form to do blah blah blah, and I'm having trouble with a field I need to do blah blah blah.... attached is my work so far and the form I'm building. Can you help solve the problem with blah blah blah."

Yours is much simpler: "I don't know how to do userform yet. Can anyone make one for me?"

I think a better answer to your "do you want to get paid" question would be yes, if you're extending zero effort in the process, paying one of our highly helpful members to do it for you is absolutely the right attitude. Don't you think?

In fact, there's a Commercial Services link above where you would get quick response to your "do it for me" request.

Otherwise, sure, some helper might be inspired to learn more about Forms on their own by helping you, that can happen, too. You'll just have to be patient, anything's possible.

    ==========
If you're finding it hard to swallow that we think you should do some work, that we have a higher opinion of your abilities than you have, then perhaps you should move on. No one here wants you to move on, but if you want to actually learn, our helpers may insist that you try. I think that's better for you overall.
