Looking to change autoshape and other cell colour automatically dependant on values.

Hi. I'm new to the site and have looked at numerous other closely related threads, of which only one comes close to what I need. I've played with it all day but to no avail so here goes:

I need to make numerous sheets. Each sheet will have an autoshape (probably line) drawing at the top, and a table underneath. I want the value in cell D3 to change the colour of the 1 of the autoshapes, but also the colour of E3 (although changing the colour of a Wingding in E3 is an option). Likewise, I need a seperate value in D4 to change another autoshape colour and E4, and so on... there could be numerous rows.

EDITED to include: Values/ Colours required - Less than 1 Red, 1 to 2 Orange and more than 2 Green.

Being new to this, may I also ask that you go easy and give instructions of where to put the code (ie SHEET>VIEW CODE and/or INSERT MODULE).
