Can you use the INDEX MATCH function to send a hyper link?

Hello! I am using an INDEX/MATCH code

Please Login or Register to view this content.

to send info from one sheet to another based on the information in the "C" column. Some of the information I want to send will be hyper links, but the INDEX?MATCH seems to break my link. Is there a way to use the INDEX/MATCH and get it to actually transfer over the full link?

Thanks!
Colleen

Hello Colleen,

Are you looking for an Excel formula solution or a VBA solution? I can't tell from your post.
Sincerely,
Leith Ross

Regular formulas cannot "send" anything, they "pull" answers from other places.

So, although you may be able to "pull" a hyperlink from another sheet, it will still just be considered as regular text, unless you force it to become a hyperlink, by including the HYPERLINK function in the formula

I would suggest you upload a sample workbook, showing what you are working with, what you want and how you arrived at that

on a side-note, I think this belongs in the excel-formula's forum, not the VBA forum?
1. Use code tags for VBA.
Your Code
(or use the # button)
2. If your question is resolved, mark it SOLVED using the thread tools
