Hi
The formula would be:
=WorksheetName!ColRow
Hope this helps.

Thanks Tony for the help. This is working correctling and what I was tyring to achieve. Can you give me some pinters for help improving my excel knowledge.
Hi Ajit
Thanks for the feedback.
Basically Excel is such a vast product there is no single source of learning. What I would suggest is at the very least do a basic course on Excel which will give you a good grounding and then take it from there. Once you have done that this forum is a great source of information and help covering all areas of Excel.
Good luck.

Hi Tony,
Is there any easy way that I can replicate the formula for multiple cells. For eg say in Book2 I want the value of a cell in Book 1 say D3 which I want in multiple cells of Book 2 How can I do it apart from just copu paste the formula.
Hi Ajit
It really depends on what the formula is trying to do and what it actually is. There are some instances where you an copy and paste the formula into multiple other locations but as I said earlier it depends on what the formula is doing. In order to advise further I would need a sample of your workbook with a clear explanation of what you are trying to achieve. In addition there are many, many ways to achieve the same end result in Excel, the trick is finding which methods suits you best.
