    excel window always on top..

    Hello,

I have an excel project that involves two, separate, excel windows/instances. I would like one of them to be on top of the other excel window at all times. Does anyone know how I can achieve this? I haven't created any userforms or anything else for the window that I want on top at all times. In fact, the window that I want on top at all times is almost any empty sheet, but is properly sized the way I want it.

    Thanks

You could probably make the second window invisible.
    Thanks,

you'd need the windows api for that. before we go there can you explain what you are doing and why you can't simply use a modeless userform?

if at first you don't succeed try doing it the way your wife told you to

Re: excel window always on top..

The project I am creating involves multiple workbooks. I open each workbook instance in a new excel window, so that way I can easily bounce from excel window to excel window while inputting/verifying data. The goal is to be able to input data in one workbook, while simultaneously looking at the outcomes in another. I want the excel workbook that I am inputting data into to always be on top, even if i click on a cell in another workbook.

Clear as mud? haha..sorry if that seems confusing. If so I will take a screenshot and post that. It might help explain.

can't you just tile the workbook windows in one instance of excel? it'll be a lot simpler
