    application.visible = false vba

    Hello,

    I have a macro with a user form that needs to be used on a daily basis by the company employees. For this purpose I have put on a workbook open event - application.visible = false and userform.show for convenience. However, when trying to open other excel files the userform stays on the background and has to be manually closed. When I close the excel files the sheet with the macro appears. This causes inconvenience as many employees are novice to the excel macros. So I was wondering if there is any way to marginalise the macro on an excel file independent from all other excel files that will be opened. Something like a new application that will not distort the use of other excel files ? Any ideas welcomed.

    Personally, I take a dim view of people messing about with my working environment, however good the intentions.

    That said, you could maybe use the workbook activate and deactivate events to mange the visibility issue. So, when you activate another workbook it would be visible. This is hypothetical so you'd need to try it and see.
