Search function in a database

Hello,

I need help

I am currently implementing a mini database and i would like to have a search function on Sheet2(File attached) that allows you input an info on the database to search for. Say username/phone number.
And in return. It fills out the corresponding information in the cells that corresponds to the relevant data requested.

I would also like to insert a search button to do that function.(Also see attached file).

If for example there are two users with the same last name. Prompt the user to enter a unique value.

Sheet 1(below) has the sample database. And Sheet 2 has the user input page.

Thanks in anticipation

Re: Search function in a database

Try this, copied down...
=INDEX(Table2[#All],MATCH($C$12,Table2[[#All],[Username ]],0),MATCH(Sheet2!D17,Table2[#Headers],0))
No button needed
1. Use code tags for VBA.
Your Code
(or use the # button)
2. If your question is resolved, mark it SOLVED using the thread tools
3. Click on the star if you think someone helped you
