Summing based on visible cells

Hi. I have a workbook in which I have multiple groups of procedures. A user can select different groups of procedures with check boxes and only those selected will be visible. I would like to be able to calculate the amount of time, and cost it takes for the selected procedures, but have had no luck so far.

TMShucks--am I able to specify two ranges? Most of my costs are in one column, and time in another, but there is one group of tests which don't require as much information as the others so their cost and times are in different columns than all the other test groups.

TMS--this helps a lot! The only thing is that it only adds up all the time or cost for one group even if I select multiple ones. How do I get it to add the sums of multiple groups?
