Scrolling on worksheet is SLOW

I have written a macro that opens and writes to a new workbook. However, once the macro has finished, scrolling in this new workbook is painfully slow. If I save close and reopen open the file then scrolling is fine.

Does anyone have any suggestions as to the cause of the slow scrolling?

Edit: Re-opened forum and your post made a lot more sense, before I had "Please login or register to view content" in your code box, which is where my confusion was coming from. Sorry

However, I've tried the code that you actually suggested and it didn't seem to make a difference to the scrolling.
