I've spent the last few days searching this forum and couldn't find a solution that works for my particular problem. I would be most appreciative if someone could help me.
I use Excel 2010. What I need to do is (hopefully) very simple. Attached there are two spreadsheets, Legacy Data Sample and New Data Sample. These are sample data from 15k record spreadsheets.
In the master spreadsheets, I need to:
1) automatically compare column K (barcode) of sheet 1 from both files.
2) for all matching column K values, I need to move all row data except for column H (RFID) from the new data spread sheet to the legacy data spreadsheet, replacing all existing values in matching rows (except for column H).
If necessary, I have no issue with making Legacy Data and New Data two different sheets in the same file for the purposes of this data migration.
It should be noted that I am a total novice at this. I get the concept of a macro, but have zero experience using them in Excel. My skill level is: I can make basic formulas.
