Need help in locking cells through VB

Hi,

I am trying to lock the cells in Column A4 when typed NO and the cells B:E has to get blocked for updates and if the answer is YES then the cells have to be unlocked for the updates.

I do not want to protect the sheet as there will be updates done on the other columns in the spreadsheet.

I tried with one of the VB code seen but not able to execute which is through Option Explicit.

The code is available in the spreadsheet under Sheet1.
Please help me on this.

Hi,

I actually need the VB to function if the cell A4 is <0.5 then the cells have to be blocked from B4:E4 else it should remaini open for the updates.
