How to Create more than a basic Tab on Ribbon in Excel 2010

Hi All,

I have managed to create my own tab in the ribbon & add macro buttons on, that was simple.

Can anyone point me in the right direction to create a more advanced ribbon tab?

I would also like to have it as an add-in.

I am guessing this cannot be done in Excel.

You need to customize the ribbon outside of excel via the xml. Within excel you can react to onAction and callback events.

Thank you for the quick response & good literature links.

The onAction and Callback events also helped me understand.

Half a Ribbon Tab now built & working.
