Turning off the VBA Hand Slapper

Sometimes I'll start to code a line

And then I might remember something I need to change above and I'll select elsewhere and then excel will yell at me

"Expected then" or whatever it says.

Can I turn this off? I don't need excel to interupt me all the time to tell me that my code isn't perfect (until I run it of course)

Look in Tools | Options and see if switching off Auto syntax checking helps.
