Excel Date Issue (Unrecognizable via formula)

    Hey,

I'm having an issue where a formula wont recognise a date in a cell input via macro, how can I fix this?

    Cell B2: =IF(ISNUMBER(A2),A2,B1)
    Cell B3: =IF(ISNUMBER(A3),A3,B2)

If I click on the macro inputted "A2" and click in the formula bar and press enter it works fine. but I don't want to have to clic.

    Added an example

    Please help
