Angry Cannot create a new worksheet manually or with a macro. ("That command cannot be used...)

I have a recent error that I need to solve quickly but I haven't seen this before. In my .XLSM file when I go to create a new worksheet manually I get the error "That command cannot be used on multiple selections". Does anyone know what Excel is talking about here?

EDIT: When I go to open the file from a fresh start I get the message "Excel found unreadable content in 'file_name'. Do you want to recover the contents of this workbook? If you trust the source of this workbook, click yes.

So I clicked yes and... The message "Removed Feature: Data validation from /xl/worksheets/sheet32.xml part" happens. Has anyone seen this before and how did you fix it? (I will not be able to upload the full workbook.)

    Hi there,

did you by any chance tried to convert your file as a zip file and try to work on the codes?

when googled, i found this suggestion.

Create a backup of your file and try this.

We finally got this message to go away!!! In our case, in Excel 2010, it was due to links to a file that hasn't existed for several years. Here is how we fixed it.

When you receive the message error, click Yes.

When the repair message comes up, click Close.

File, Option, Trust Center, Trust Center Settings, External Content, Changed from Prompt to Disable on both settings. Click Ok.

Save workbook and the error was gone when reopened it. Of course, we will probably have an issue if they ever want to link to another workbook in the future, but I spent enough time figuring this out!

Hope this helps someone out there.
    Thanks!
    Raga.

I did not try to convert my file to a zip. Thanks for the input though.

EDIT: I did disable both settings like you said and I still get the same error.
