A Macro for Grouping and Ungrouping Different Levels

Is it possible to use a macro to group and ungroup different levels in a worksheet. I have around 4 levels of column grouping, so I have the numbers 1 to 4 in the top left of my sheet. Rather than the user have to click the numbers to reveal different groups, I'd like to be able to assign each level to a button, so I can make the levels more descriptive for the end user by adding a name to each button, is this possible to do?

    Many thanks

Attach a sample workbook. Make sure there is just enough data to make it clear what is needed. Include BEFORE/AFTER sheets if needed to show the process you're trying to complete or automate. Remember to desensitize the data.

Click on GO ADVANCED and use the paperclip icon to open the upload window.

Re: A Macro for Grouping and Ungrouping Different Levels

    Hi davesexcel

I've attached a very simple workbook which hopefully demonstrates what I'm trying to achieve. If you click on the '1', '2', '3' group/ungroup buttons top left, you will see how the sheet is set to expand and conract. What I'm looking to be able to do is to have an actual button on the sheet, so I can make it descriptive, to replicate the three different levels of group/ungroup.

    Is this possible to do?

    Many thanks.
