    Sophisticated drop downs

    Hi all!! Please help!

I'm looking for the best way (concept) to do something and not for the description how to do this.

The something is: i need two (or more) drop down lists that will work as follow:

    1. User choose in the first drop down one OR FEW items
    2. Then in the second drop down, where user will need to choose too, only items that relevant to the item chosen in 1st drop down will be shown. And again here user can choose one OR FEW items.

And so on and so thourth..

Please advice me upon the best way to go : through pivot tables, only VBA, data validation + something???

Of course, the less changes to underlyind data is better.

    Thanks in advance!!

To select multiple items, you'll need to use a listbox with the multi-select option set to True. Build the list (in VBA) for the second listbox based on the items selected in the first.

I don't know enough about what you're trying to do to say it's the best way -- it's a way. I try to avoid using controls on worksheets -- If I can't live without them, I put them on a form.
