Count multiple conditions array only worked with 1 value

I tried to use an array formula but it doesn't work and I think I need a macro.

I have a file (attached) listing journal articles with titles and multiple authors (if more than one contributed to the article).
I need to count the number of times one author co-authored an article with another author.
My spreadsheet has a table/array of all author names vertically as table row names with same names across the top as column labels and faux numbers of times they've co-authored in the cells beneath as an example of output.

My problem is: how to count the # of times each author co-authors with another author.
The output is in the "table/array" starting on B1040 using the data from above in rows 2 to 29 (actual file goes to 1038 rows).
Updated sample file attached with a few cells of data entered in the cells to the right of row B31.

I don't know how to examine the title field to see if it is the same for the author(s) listed and then add to their respective count cells in the table.
I assume

PasteSpecial Paste:=xlPasteAll, Operation:=xlAdd

will be needed (but that's the easy part!).
