Get / Extract data from another "CLOSED" excel file

Hello

This for a reporting tool, where my students send me reports in excel files

I want to make one excel file which when I open it, i can see data from all other students' files without opening them.

After googling, I understood that this can only be done by a macro

Please advise by the code or sample files if possible
