Hello, I'm having an issue with a report that I work weekly. The report is run by our reporting person each week, pulling data from our system into an Excel file. I am responsible for looking at each customer on the spreadsheet and adding comments about the customer on the same row. Unfortunately, I can't attach the actual report, but I've attached a very simplified version. Customers are added and dropped from this report each week, but there are a number of customers who will actually stay on the report for months at a time. I need to be able to, after our reporting person provides the report to me, essentially copy the comments from the last report to the new report for each customer that is still on the report. The problem is, like I said, customers are added and dropped from the report constantly, so they're rarely in the same cells or rows on the report. I basically need some type of formula that looks for the customer's name or account number on the new report, then pulls in the comments from the prior report.
Anybody know a way to accomplish this?
Thanks so much.
