Macro: Open file but the filename changes

how can i execute a code that has a static filepath but the filename changes with a random number in the middle depending on batch run?

hi FLani, option example. Select folder, the code would search for any .xls file under the mask: "test*kp" (change it to your requirement). So the matching files could be: test1kp.xls, test1891kp.xls etc.
