Find & Replace Entire Cell Contents

I currently have the following code that I have been using to find and replace cell contents...

Cells.Replace What:="MC9090-GF0SJEFA69R", Replacement:= _
        "Symbol-MC9090 Core Store Scan Gun", LookAt:=xlPart, SearchOrder:=xlByRows, _
        MatchCase:=False, SearchFormat:=False, ReplaceFormat:=False

However, I want to search cells within a particular column for a specified string of text and then replace the ENTIRE contents with something else. How do can I do that with either this code or with a different code?

I opened a new book and did a sample and it replaced it but it didn't replace the entire contents with just the text I wanted...it only replaced the text I specified to search for.

I have just recently started getting this error when I try and replace contents....

"Microsoft Excel cannot find any data to replace. Check if your search formatting criteria are defined correctly. If you are sure that matching data exists in this workbook, it may be on a protected sheet. Excel cannot replace data on a protected worksheet."

The data is there and the worksheet is not protected...ideas?

What do i need to do in order to replace the entire contents if the cell contains some defined text?

Columns("a").Replace "*MC9090-GF0SJEFA69R*", "Symbol-MC9090 Core Store Scan Gun"

Alter column reference as needed.
