    populate multiple sheets based on a criteria

    hello All:

    I am a newbie to VBA ...and am struggling to make the following happen...

    I have the following data in an "input" worksheet...I want to run a macro that scans the "tag" column and then sends the corresponding information in col 1 col 2 and col 3 to a worksheet called "file1" or "file2" depending on the result of the scan....basically i want to populate sheets file1 and file2 with data that is relevant only to file1 and file2 respectively from the input sheet....hope i make sense....

    i have attached the excel file along with what I expect the macro to do with the data on the input sheet if all is well...
