This was a big help, The only one issue is that my excel file was only one Tab, so it would never work. I ended up needed to add the following to a new tab that has no name. that way every time the workbook opened it refreshed the pivot table.

Make sure when you save the file you save it on the blank tab. I used a [SPACE] as the character to name the tab.

this goes into "ThisWorkbook"
