    Question on VBA Extensibility 5.3

    Hi All

I wonder if anyone can help me please?

I have written a small Programme (Excel 97-20003 compatable) that requires a reference to VBA Extensibility 5.3. I wish to send this to a friend, for his use. (I have Excel 2007, he has Excel 2003).

What I am not clear on is whether references that have been set up on my computer remain intact when a Workbook is shipped to someone else.

His knowledge of Excel is limited, so I do not wish to explain how to set up the reference (it this is not the case).

I know that a reference can be set up progammatically, but I am not sure how to do this, so that it would work for Excel 2003 and Excel 2007.

Thank you in advance for any help or advice.

    Regards

references are saved with the workbook so your reference should be fine

if at first you don't succeed try doing it the way your wife told you to

The reference might not be the only problem.

Your friend will have to change security settings to allow programmatic access to the VBA Project.
If posting code please use code tags, see here.

    Hi Norie

Thank you for your reply. I have taken care of this previously - he is set up to receive my digital signature. He is now across the Pond, so I cannot access his computer!
