    Save as Function on a macro

    is there anyway wer i can create a macro that automatically uses the save as function and saves the file in the name of a particular cell??

    this is because i have created a format wer i enter the scores and after the end of the contest i want the scores to be saved but not on the original file.

    Yes its possible. Do you want this to be done for several cells or just once?

    Have you considered saving your "original" workbook as a template?

    i do not know how to do that, ive never done anything like this before, its my first attempt with macros and im fairly new to excel
    how do i save it as a template??

    This isn't macros. it a normal feature of Excel.
