Thumbs up Lock all the formula cell

    Hi Team,

I would like to lock all the formula cells in the master workbook upon entering formula and all the existing formulas. Also, there is a macro in the master file to split the existing workbook into many workbooks based on employee id. Would it be possible to lock all the formula cells even in the individual files upon splitting.

Please help…. Your help would be really appreciated!!

    Thanks,
    Vignesh

Re: Lock all the formula cell

    Hi Vignesh.

There could be two approaches to this.

1st) Lock all existing formulas. Now after entering a formula / constant into a cell, a change event macro will trigger and will check if entered cell has formula and if yes, lock the cell and protect the sheet.

2nd) Upon entering a formula / constant into a cell, a change event macro will trigger and will check if any of the cell in entire sheet has formula and if yes, lock those cells and the protect the sheet.

which way you want to go ?
