Marco to get data and also to update table with amendments?

Hello all,

Can anyone help me by starting me off in the right direction please and I will learn from it and finish it off what I am doing is setting up a forum and I have a Macro that takes the data and puts it in to a table.

Now what I need to do is have a Macro that looks at what has been selected in a dropdown list and automaticly enters it back into the forum for example

Dropdown list (sheet New) = Column C (sheet Current)

Find Column C data on currnet (1234 = Row 9)

A9 into E7
B9 into E15
C9 into E13
D9 into E9

Ect. ect.

The thing Id like it to do is automaticly change depending on the entery selected.

Can anyone help me start this on off with the basic functions and I will expand

Do you have a sample file (with your form) that you can upload?

To Attach a File:

1. Click on Go Advanced
2. In the frame Attach Files you will see the button Manage Attachments
3. Click the button.
4. A new window will open titled Manage Attachments - Excel Forum.
5. Click the Browse... button to locate your file for uploading.
6. This will open a new window File Upload.
7. Once you have located the file to upload click the Open button. This window will close.
8. You are now back in the Manage Attachments - Excel Forum window.
9. Click the Upload button and wait until the file has uploaded.
10. Close the window and then click Submit.

Sadly I can't upload it as it contains confidential information.

So I will upload an example sheet which is very crude.

I have had a rethink of what I need. Please see Attachment for following to make sence.

User enters details into Boxes A, B, C & D on sheet 1 and press Submit Marco Puts info into a table on sheet 2.

User then enters details from box C into Box X and presses Retrieve, Marco then finds details in the Table from sheet 2 and then puts it back into boxes A, B, C & D

What I’m after is 2 things the 2nd I have only realised since righting this post.

1st a Macro that searches the table for that number, Then enters the info into the correct boxes.

2nd if someone could correct the bellow Macro so that it looks for the number first and updates old entries before creating a new line.

I know this seems like I’m just getting everyone here to do my work for me well that’s how it feels to me, but when I first learnt this sort of stuff I was recording macros. I am really grateful for everyone’s help. All I need is the basics and I try to learn from there.
