application-defined/object-defined error 1004 when trying to read from or write to cells

Hi all,

I'm getting this error when trying to read / write to cells in a worksheet.

However, if I give names to cells - which I can't afford to - it works! Code attached.

Could anyone please help?

It would also work if you used "A2" instead of A2.

PS What do you mean you can't 'afford' to name cells?
