I have the need to create a macro to delete and replace the first 3 digits in a specific column in my Excel spreadsheet. The existing first 3 digits vary so I cannot use standard find and replace.

The entry is used in our communications system as a Holiday variable, every Holiday have have to adjust the first three characters and then change them back. Sometimes the number of entries I need to change is in the 10's , other times 100's, so I am looking for an easy way to do this.

I am really green with macros so please feel free to talk down to my level. (Basic user)
