Defining a named range

Hi, I'm trying to define a named range and so have taken the easy way out and recorded the macro. However, when I use the piece of code that's recorded, it doesn't work. My code is fairly straight forward and I'm looking to set column G as range on Sheet1

ActiveWorkbook.Names.Add Name:="MyRange", RefersToR1C1:="='Sheet1'!C7"

Can anyone help please?

Worksheets("A").Range("C7").Name="MyRange"
