Hi all,
In a presentation, using datashow, the buttons in a sheet change their sizes. How can I avoid that?

I'm guessing you used the ActiveX button controls. I've had nothing but trouble with them. I use the Form Controls without incident.
Even if you use Form Control Buttons you will have to right click on the Button, select Format Control, Click on Properties, and the choose Move but don't size with Cells or Don't move and size with Cells.

Hi Winon, thanks for your help.
In fact I'm using Active X controls. The only property related to size is Autosize, which value is False. There is no "Move but don't size with Cells" property. Do you have any other suggestion?
Thanks,
Marcelo Rychter
Replace them with forms buttons?
Hi Kyle,
I have to use Active X buttons because I need several of their properties, which forms buttons don't have.
Cheers,
Marcelo Rychter
Which properties? There may be workarounds
ActiveX controls in Excel are like the little girl with the curl on her forehead...When she's good, she's very, very good...BUT...When she's bad, she's very, very BAD.
@ Ron Coderre,
Very well put. LOL.
@ Marcelo Rychter,
I suspect there could be a conflicting problem somewhere between your computer's BIOS setup or the same with the other Machine. Start your machine in Safe Mode, and see if the Buttons still "contorts". If not, try selecting different, video displays within the BIOS Setup and restart your machine (or the same with the other machine) until the Buttons remain as it should.
Hope that helps!
@Winon
This problem has been around ever since MS included ActiveX controls to Excel VBA. The implementation seems to have been an incomplete thought and...to my knowledge...the problem has never been addressed.
@ Ron Coderre,
Hi Ron,
Thank you for responding. And a big YES, I could not agree with you more on that point.![]()
Hi Winon,
Thanks for your help. I'll try your suggestions.
Another fact: that happens only in one model of datashow. I tried with two other datashows and it worked properly. I'm trying to understand why.
Take care,
