Scheduling Outlook Meetings based on Excel Line Items

    Hello,

I have been a longtime browser of this forum but this is my first time reaching out for help. I have a report that I download with items that I need to follow up on by a certain date. I have seen multiple people ask similar questions but I have not found an exact solution to my problem.

After I run this report I would like Excel to automatically setup Outlook (2007) appointments on my calendar at 7:30am on the following intervals: 2months, 1 month, and 1 week prior to the due date on the line item. I run these reports every month or so, and the due dates are a year+ away, so if there is a way for Excel to check to see if this appointment is already on the calendar and not schedule it if it is, then that would help as well.

Please let me know if you need more information than this.

This is a pretty big request in one chunk. I'm sure you'll get better response if you break down your question into several parts, so that they can be tackled one after the other.

Also, we're happy to help you with your effort, but nobody here will be keen on developing a solution from scratch. This forum is about helping people learn how to use Excel, not a free development service.

Have you started any work on this project yet?
    How far did you get?
    Where are you stuck?

We can help you develop your own code, but if you want someone to code this for you all the way, you should try and find a commercial developer.

My post here - http://www.excelforum.com/showthread...=1#post2836868 - has code to create Outlook appointments based on a subject text and start date-time and determine if an appointment already exists. For the appointment date-times, use the VBA DateAdd function with a negative interval to calculate the dates:
