    clear cell shading when printing

I created a proposal for work sheet in excel 2007 that has shaded cells in the areas where information can be entered. I conditionally formatted the cells so that the shading is removed when text is entered. The problem is some cells may not have text put into them. Those cells will remain shaded and I don't want that shading to show when it is printed. I don't want all color removed from the sheet, but simply to remove the shading from cells with no text when I print. I'm not sure it's possible to do this without a macro, but I'm very new to writing macros and it seems way above my knowledge level to create one for this. I'm trying to make the sheet user friendly for someone who knows nothing about excel so I would like it to be automatic as opposed to highlighting those cells and clearing the shading. Any ideas would be appreciated!
