Open in read-only, make changes, and back to read-only??

Is it possible to open a document in Read-only but allow a macro to make changes to that document and then switch it back to read-only?

Depends on how you have setup the doc to be read-only. Did you protect the sheet?

Yes, there are certain cells that are protected. My goal was to have to open a read-only file where multiple user would be able to access it. As soon as someone makes a change on that spreadsheet they click a button and the file becomes read/write to process the change. Not sure if that works though...
