How do you force a cell to appear empty when there is a function in it...

I have a simple function that calculates the subtotal for each line...
This causes empty cells to appear as " $ - ".
I would like the cell to be completely empty unless there is a number in the Unit Cost cell...
I have attached the worksheet if it is any help...

    Hi Legend Rubber,

great... now tell me how you did it?
It would have even be greater if you compared my formulas to yours. "Monkey see, monkey do".

That is why I did it via a sample WorkBook, so that we need not go into lengthy postings about how to "tweak" formulas. Your formula just states to multiply one Cell with the other, which if results in 0(Zero),
would return, either a 0(Zero) or "-", with the format of the referenced Cell/s.

If you look at the formula I am using , it says that if one of the referenced cells is empty then leave the cell with the formula also empty, else return the resulting value.

    Hi Legend Rubber,

Also, i cant see any code in what you sent back?
I did not use VBA Code with what I had sent you. Click in the Cell where you wanted it to show nothing, and then look in the Formula Bar at the difference in formulae that you have used, and what I am using.

Hope that it is clearer to you now.
