Compare and highlight

Hello:

Please refer to attached sheet.
I have sample data in column E and Column G in sheet1.

I need to compare each cell value from Column G to data in column E and if match is found hightlight it.,
I have manually done this in sheet2.

Please have a look and let me know if you have any questions.

Thanks and looking forward for help.

Hi
what do you mean by "match" - the numbers in columns G and I are different. How do you identify the cells you want highlighted and the ones you want with red font?

Re: Compare and highlight

Hi NickyC:

Need to start from Cell G3 ($2657.33) and start looking for $2657.33 in cell E3 to E21. Once found highlight that cell in column G and matching cell in Column E.

Same way for next cell G4 ($1645.62, ans so on)

Have a look at Sheet2 ...
Please let me know if any questions.

Re: Compare and highlight

the values on your 2nd sheet are a little different to the 1st sheet, but try this in conditional formatting...

select the range G3:G21
select CF - new rule, and enter this

=ISNUMBER(VLOOKUP(ROUND(G3,2),$E$3:$E$21,1,FALSE))
format as required
1. Use code tags for VBA.
Your Code
(or use the # button)
2. If your question is resolved, mark it SOLVED using the thread tools
