Paste directional arrows based on cell value

Sorry if this is in the wrong sub-forum.

I am pulling in a single number showing the biggest percentage change out of a group of values and need to show a directional arrow next to the number. Obviously there are two scenarios, a red down arrow for a negative number and a green up arrow for a positive number. Can I automate this with the use of an arrow pasted through the Shapes -> Block Shapes menu and a macro?

have you considered using conditional format icons rather than a shape?

I didn't even know icon sets existed under that menu! Thanks very much, I will try that.
