    Hello kate.middleton1,

On Sheet1 in Column 2, Click on the "Filter arrow" > Deselect All > Select Student Number, and Click on O.K.

On Sheet1 in Column 2, Click on the "Filter arrow" which is the Grey Down Arrow in Column2, Row3. On the Filter screen that appears, clear the check in Select All. Then Select a Student Number - (Use 654), and then at the bottom of the Filter screen Click on O.K.

The information will be displayed exactly according to your desired outcome as shown in Sheet 3

Actually i want to implement it using vba Code, only those cells must be compared which are filtered.

The way I see it, is that the Code already does just that - to a point - whereafter human interface is needed to refine the filter/s to the desired result.

I honestly don't think it would be possible to Code for all the possible permutations of filters a user may require.
