Pause macro whilst selecting the file i want to copy from

hi,

i will have many workbooks with data in it in a folder called "accuscan temp" that i will want to copy to another workbook, then do other things with the data copied.

the file path i have is

is it possible to pause the macro until i click on the file i want before it resumes with the macro

then name the file that i have copied the data to the same name as the data come from

do you by any chance mean application.getopenfilename?

hi,

to be honest i do not know, i need to select the file from a list of files and when it opens carry on with the macro

And from this point forward, reffer to the opened file as "file"

hi,

could you please help me with this code , i would like the macro to let me select the file for me to cope the data from , at present it is set to "sheet1 csv"
but there could be many files i need to copy from
