Password protecting Macros and still being able to run them

Is there anyway to lock VBA code from being edited, but still be able to run it? I mostly need to know if this can be done in Access, but I can probably change platforms if it can be done in excel only.

yes-either protect the project from viewing for the basic level of security, or create an mde file: http://www.databasedev.co.uk/microsoft-access-mde.html
