Hi,

I want to highlight specific words in a excel workbook. The excel I have got has lot of text (in fact so much that I was wondering why the author has not used MSWord). I have added the list of words that needs highlighting in a separate sheet and trying to get a code working to pick the word and then search & highlight the word everywhere it occurs in the workbook (or a sheet) and then move on to next word.

Example:

"This is a sample text to write a macro to search and highlight specific words from a range of cells from another sheet. There are columns with strings and it needs to highlight or mark these specific words in bold wherever they occur."

Sample word list: "text", "words", "to"

In the above example I am looking for macro to highlight the words (from the sample word list) in the text.

Notes:
- The word could be present anywhere in the text.
- I need only the word highlighted or marked as Bold and not the whole cell.
